Edward Dorsey Jr., having completed the requirements for and having been examined by an Eagle Scout Board, was found worthy of the rank of Eagle Scout. In honor of his achievement, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on March 3, at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. For his Eagle project, Dorsey installed drywall in the Youth Center at Flat Rock A.M. E. Church in Fayetteville. Dorsey was invited to Cascade United Methodist Church to hear Lieutenant General Russel L. Honoré, Office of the Commanding General, First United States Army, Commander of Joint Task Force (JTF) - Katrina and (JTF) - Rita talk about emergency awareness. Afterwards, Honoré congratulated Eagle Scout Dorsey on Boy Scout’s highest achievement.
