The two day State Conference of the Georgia Society, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century had a record breaking attendance at the Peachtree City Wyndham Conference Center recently. Members from 16 chapters across Georgia heard year-end reports of state officers and chairmen. Tish Puckett, historian general, of Texas, was the special guest and opening night banquet speaker. The conference was hosted by the Thomas Wingfield Chapter. New state officers were installed for 2007-2009. Two members of the Thomas Johnson Chapter, which serves the metro area, were among those installed. For membership info, call Susan Lemesis at 770-993-2858.
