New program helps school employees save moneyTue, 05/29/2007 - 4:44pm

Fayette County School System employees have a new benefit that will help them save money on purchased goods and services. The school system is one of 14 in the metro Atlanta area participating in Sparkfly, an Atlanta-based employee discount administrator that allows employees to save money on everyday purchases from auto service, restaurants and gym memberships to big-ticket item purchases like a new home or automobile. The incentive is being made available at no cost by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce to assist school systems in rewarding the hard work of their employees and retaining top talent. After employees sign up for the incentive, they have access to the Sparkfly website 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees will begin taking advantage of the program in May through the website and will receive Sparkfly cards during preplanning in August, giving them the option of using either a card or the website for discounts. In addition to the businesses already participating in the program, school systems can recruit vendors in their communities to join Sparkfly. Alan Vigil Ford in Fayetteville and Toyota South in Union City have already affiliated with the program to provide benefits to Fayette School System employees. login to post comments |
