Amanda Wise and Andrew Cathy were married Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Vista at Inn on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. The Rev. Drew Clark and the Rev. Chris Patton conducted the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wise of Goldsboro, N.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Ray and Martha Carson of Fayetteville, N.C., the late Roger and Helen Wise of Goldsboro, N.C., the late Lila Shelby of Goldsboro, N.C. and Dwight Shelby of San Angelo, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Cathy of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Palmer of Jonesboro and Mr. and Mrs. S. Truett Cathy, also of Jonesboro.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a vanilla silk princess satin strapless sheath, that included a crystal embroidered belt with a satin ribbon tie, trumpet skirt and a sweep train. Her headpiece was a two-tiered corded ivory veil. She carried a bouquet of lavender peonies and garden roses.

Stacie Edge Moore of Bethlehem, Pa., best friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Pete Morton of Asheville, N.C., best friend of the groom, served as best man.

Bridesmaids were Kara Tolley of Columbia, S.C., Amerique Sileno of Raleigh, N.C., Jennifer Ullman of Cary, N.C., Sarah Duckett of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lindsey Sanders of Wilmington, N.C.

Groomsmen were Spencer Wise of Goldsboro, N.C., Ross Cathy of Fayetteville, Rob Ivy of Atlanta , Bill Thorn of Tyrone, and Jeff Maday of Jonesboro.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Vanderbilt room at Inn on Biltmore Estate.

The newlyweds honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in St. Petersburg, Fla.
