Questions are beginning to surface over the finances of U.S. Congressman David Scott (13th District) and whether sums apparently totaling hundreds of thousand of dollars were spent appropriately.
Information surfacing on political websites question whether Scott funneled campaign funds to family members, his family-owned Dayn-Mark Advertising business or others.
Neither Scott or his legal representative Mike Williams were available for comment Friday.
Questions have also arisen over issues such as an IRS lien against Dayn-Mark Advertising and past state taxes owed by the Congressman.
The registered agent for Dayn-Mark Company is Scott’s wife Alfredia, according to Georgia Secretary of State’s Corporation Division.
Scott held elected office in Georgia prior to winning the vote to the U.S. House in 2002.
