Budget time approaches for PTCThu, 05/24/2007 - 3:34pm
By: John Munford
Fairly soon the Peachtree City Council will get its first crack at the proposed 2007-2008 city budget. Two workshops have been scheduled so the Council can ask detailed questions about the first draft of the budget proposed by the City Manager. That draft hasn’t been completed yet but could be available as early as Friday, June 1, according to Assistant Finance Director Janet Camburn. The workshops have been scheduled for Tuesday, June 5 and Wednesday, June 6. Both meetings will start at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall and both are open to the public. Typically the city’s department directors and chiefs attend these early budget workshops to provide detailed answers to any questions council might have. Depending on the pace of the workshops, it is possible the budget could be hashed out at further meetings before it is officially adopted by council. login to post comments |
