Thomas Edward Gibbons, 56, Fayetteville, died May 15, 2007. He was born Nov. 25, 1950 in Toccoa. He was preceded in death by his father, George Brown. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Cemetery, Fairburn. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Gibbons, Fayetteville; sons Christopher and Kelly Gibbons, Gay, Ga., and Chad Gibbons, who is serving in the United States Navy; a daughter, Chrystal and Mark Hemmings, McDonough; grandchildren, Lindsey Hemmings, McDonough, and Madison Gibbons, Gay; mother, Eleanor and Larry Hilsinger, More Haven, Fla.; a brother, Arthur Gibbons, Washington; and a sister, Shirley and Rick Fuller, Acworth. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
