Michael and Gail Pizar of Peachtree City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Danielle Kirsten of Peachtree City, to Robert John Weir Jr. of Conyers, son of Kippie Shell of Conyers and Robert Weir Sr. of Covington.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Elsa Burkhardt of Hendersonville, N.C. and the late Walter Burkhardt, and the late Michael and Yvette Pizar of Peachtree City. She is a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School and a graduate of the University of West Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminology with a minor in psychology. While at the university, she was a member of the Tri-Delta sorority and served as the sorority’s secretary. She currently is employed as a substitute teacher for the Walton County School District in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Jack Weir of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and the late Jacqueline Weir, and the late Dorothy Ann Cooper, and West Shell of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a 1999 graduate of Salem High School and a graduate of the University of West Georgia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing. While at the university, he was a member of Chi-Phi fraternity and served as the fraternity’s president. He currently is employed in sales at Florida Bath & Surfaces in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta. A reception will follow in the Imperial Ballroom at the Biltmore in Atlanta.
