Showtime! Now it's time for the only thing that matters: the VOTES. All the talk/debate/BS ends and the voters make themselves heard. In about 12 short hours, it's going to be either a glorious time for PTC or 4 more years of the dreck in my opinion. 4 years ago, the voters were pretty complacent about PTC politics and generally happy with the way things were going. Well, Steve Brown got elected and now the general complacency is over amongst those paying attention. Steve Rapson was the first casualty of the voters and now it's Brown's turn. After the new council met a little less than 4 years ago with Weed-Brown-Rapson on board, Murray "Smokin'" Weed made a comment to a citizen to "get used to it because you've got 4 more years of us." Well, Weed unfortunately didn't run for re-election as I kind of wanted to see the trouncing at the ballot box he would have taken but he's history in any event. Rapson is gone from the Brown Backlash. Just one more left and then Weed will have to "get used to it." He got a Dog Park out of it all and a job in Hapeville so I guess he's happy with it all. While Rapson has moved up the job ladder a few times and Smokin' Weed regained a job by becoming city attorney for that progressive hotbed in Hapeville, what about Steve Brown? What's going to happen to that energetic fine young man? Doesn't have the assistant manager's job at a dental temp firm to go back to so now what? Full-time Voice of the People even though the "people" have rejected him? Don Quixote? How a run for Higher Office like County Commissioner? The possibilities are endless! The world is his acorn and well, he's kind of like an acorn too. Maybe Bob Lenox will graciously extend an offer an employment to Steve, I think that would be a nice gesture! See you at the ballot box. Nobody U Know nuk's blog | login to post comments |
