A Fayetteville family is offering a $500 reward, hoping to get information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who burglarized their home recently.

Ginger Gaskins, who lives just off Ga. Highway 54 across from Fayette Medical Center said her home was broken into Friday, April 27, and several shotguns and rifles were stolen along with some jewelry.

Gaskins believes it was someone who knows her family because the burglars went right past certain valuables in the house and went directly to the place where the weapons were kept.

Gaskins said she is not as much worried about the jewelry because none of the pieces were sentimental in nature, but she said her husband had become attached to the guns after beginning to collect them 10 years ago.

The incident took place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 27, Gaskins said. The burglars entered the residence through a basement door, she added.

Gaskins said a burglar alarm was installed at the home after the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Gaskins at 770-883-5322.
