Palmetto Police have arrested two juveniles in connection to the recovery of three handguns stolen in the March 1 burglary at the Pawn House at 582 Main Street.

Burglars in the March 1 Pawn House break-in entered by forcing open the store’s front door, said Det. John Cooper. Items stolen included 12 handguns and an Xbox video game system, Cooper said. A preliminary investigation revealed that some of the suspects were juvenile residents of Palmetto. The investigation subsequently led to the recent arrest of two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, and the recovery of three of the 12 stolen handguns, Cooper said.

Cooper said additional arrests in the case are expected. Anyone with information concerning the burglary or stolen weapons is asked to contact Det. John Cooper at (770) 463-9068.
