‘Big’ time planned for kidsThu, 05/10/2007 - 4:55pm

Hands-on experience features large vehicles Kids will get up close and personal with big vehicles at Peachtree City’s annual Touch A Truck event, located in the Shakerag parking lot Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and parents will find plenty of photo opportunities as kids of all ages will be allowed to climb into and “try out” the giant machinery. Vehicles from All-Lift, Allied Waste, the American Legion, Cherokee Pumping Company, Comcast Cable, Fairburn Ready Mix, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Nickell Equipment Rental & Sales, the Peachtree City Fire Department, the Peachtree City Police Department, Peachtree City Public Works, Peachtree City Water & Sewer Authority, Peachtree Golf Cars, Phoenix Star Taxi & Limousine Service, Taylor Construction and Verlo Mattress Factory to name a few. Company representatives will help supervise, answer questions and hand out goodies. Ashley Alonso, coordinator of the event said, “This has been a great success in the past and it gets better every year.” There will also be food and drink available for purchase at the concession stand at the nearby BMX track. login to post comments |
