The Starr’s Mill High School Choral Music Department will be presenting their final concert of the season at the annual spring show, “Celebrate the Music,” on Thursday, May 10. Audience members will enjoy the ensembles of the Vocal Jazz Choir “An Octave Above,” The Men of the Mill, Treble Chorus “Bel Canto,” Men's Chorus “Camera,” the Advanced Women's Chorus “Bella Voce” and the Advanced Mixed Chorus “Chanticleer.” The show will be in two acts. The first act will showcase each group performing their music from the 2007 Choral Festival in which all choirs received superior ratings. The second act takes a different twist with music from popular movies and Broadway shows such as “Les Miserables,” “The Producers,” “Avenue Q,” “Spamalot,” “Aida,” “The Boy from Oz,” and “Wicked” to name a few. Starr’s Mill High School Choral directors Dr. John Odom and Mrs. Julia Lotti invite the community to attend and enjoy an exciting evening of choral music. The concert will be held at Duke Auditorium on the campus of SMHS, 193 Panther Path, Fayetteville and will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free. login to post comments |
