Walter D. Melbourne, 79, Fayetteville, died April 26, 2007. He was born May 6, 1927 in Jamaica. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services were at the Community Fellowship Christian Church, Riverdale. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Melbourne, Fayetteville; sons, Lee Toyzer, Riverdale, and Lensworth and Debbie Melbourne, New York; daughters, Lydia Melbourne, Riverdale, Thelma and Randal Goffe, Seattle, Wash., and Claire Melbourne, Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother; and five sisters. Memorial donations may be given to the Community Fellowship Christian Church Building Fund, 107 Highland Hills Rd., Riverdale. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
