Community golfers are invited to “Golf Fore Food” tournament at Orchard Hills Golf Course in Coweta County to feed the children of Christian City. The tournament is planned for Wednesday, May 16, with check-in at 9 a.m. and shotgun start at 10 a.m.

This special tournament raises money for food to feed deprived children who come to live at the Christian City Home For Children in Union City.

“Our success depends on your involvement as a volunteer, golfer, team captain, tournament sponsor, or auction donor,” a spokesperson said, “So call to sign up and make a difference at meal time for a Christian City child.”

Each participant will enjoy a day of pampering and fun by (1) loosening up with a complimentary sports massage by Allied Health Care, (2) warming-up on the driving range, (3) snacks, (4) lunch, (5) 18 holes, and then (6) relaxing to an extraordinary dinner provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill of Peachtree City while the winners are announced, various prizes are given, and the live auction begins.

Entry fee is $120 per golfer or $480 per foursome.

“You may not know a child or family that goes without food, but I assure you it happens,” the spokesperson said. “That’s why we need your participation in the ‘A Place At The Table’ 2007 spring golf tournament.”

Sponsorships are available ranging from $6,000, which includes four golfers, all the way down to $250 which includes having one advertising sign at one hole.
