Summer Grief Share group starts tomorrow in PTC
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will offer a summer Grief Share support group beginning Thursday, May 10, from 6:30-8 p.m. The group, which uses a video,workbook, and open discussion format, will meet at the church, 225 Robinson Road, room 308, every Thursday night for 14 weeks. The fee is $15 and includes the workbook. PTCUMC opens it doors to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a friend or loved one who needs to connect with others going through the same journey. Benefit concert planned at The Rock Baptist
Ths Rock Baptist Church in north Fayette County will host a benefit concert Friday, May, 11, at 7 p.m., with proceeds going to a local uninsured resident who lost her house in a fire. Performers will include Sharron Kay King of indiana, Mercy Road of Dallas (Ga.) and Gary Claxton, a Christian comedian from Byron, Ga. The church is at 1392 Sandy Creek Rd. (near Ga. Corinth Baptist to host Three J Cafe
Corinth Baptist Church is again hosting Three J Café, a music and coffee house, Saturday, May 12, from 7-10 p.m. This month will feature “Lifeline” performing contemporary Christian and “Three” performing blues-based Christian music. Admission is free and concessions will be available. The church is at 398 Corinth Road, off Ga. Hwy. 54, between Fayetteville and Jonesboro.

Violin and vocal recital set for Sunday at COS
Violinist Karla Dietmeyer and vocalist Amy Bonecutter will be featured at a Mother’s Day Recital, Sunday, May 13 at 3 p.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Both will attend Lutheran Summer Music, an intensive month-long experience June 24-July 27 at Gustavus Adophus College, St. Peter, Minn. Proceeds of the recital, matched by Thrivent for Lutherans, will benefit scholarships to defray the steep costs. Both are active in the church’s worship and youth ministries, as well as the choral program at Starr’s Mill High School. Also featured will be the Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir and the new Jazz Big Band. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

‘Holy Hilarity’ planned at Christ Our Shepherd
On Monday, June 4, at 7 p.m. a special service of worship, “Holy Hilarity” will be held at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City to celebrate God’s gift of humor. The flute choir will play. Christ Our Shepherd is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

Harp’s opens preschool registration

Atlanta Kingdom Life Conference is June 28-30
Living Word Christian Fellowship and International Team Ministries will sponsor the Atlanta Kingdom Life Conference Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 28-30 at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts on Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan. The event will feature guest speakers Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton and Eric Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, Calif. The cost is $35 for singles, $65 per married couple and $75 per family (husband, wife and children). Childcare will not be provided. Registration is from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28. Step back in time at Open Door Baptist
Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia invites the community to step back in time and enjoy “Old Fashion Day” Sunday, May 20, at the church. The Lumber River Quartet and local vocalist Tere Ayers will perform in concert at Campbellton United Methodist Church in Fairburn Sunday, June 3, at 6 p.m. The concert is free but a love offering will be taken.
