ABATE of Georgia hosted the event titled “2007 Ride For the Children”. Nearly 100 riders came out on Sunday April 29 to show their support for the children of the Community Welcome House. The mission of “Welcome House” is to provide “education to the community on the many facets of domestic violence while providing refuge and facilitating change for its victims”. In 2006,the Community Welcome House offered refuge to 96 victims of domestic violence last year, 54 of whom were children.
