If you’ve been following the excitement around the Maternity Center at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, you’ll know that they’ve been very busy, in fact, much busier than the hospital originally anticipated. In March alone, 115 babies were delivered there.

A group of local knitters and crocheters has been happy to supply Piedmont Fayette’s new babies with hats. They’re now looking for more knitters and crocheters to help them keep up. All you need is some time and willing hands. Also, keep in mind, as you do your spring cleaning, that the knitters are happy to accept any donations of yarn, needles and crochet hooks.

The knitting group meets each Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m., at Books A Million in Peachtree City’s Avenues shopping center, except for the third Tuesday of the month. On the third Tuesday of every month, you’ll find them at the Creative Crochet Group that meets at the Gathering Place in Peachtree City from 7-9 p.m. For more information, contact Kathy Vogeltanz at 770-712-7868 or ktvogeltanz@earthlink.net.
