Georgia Southern University students were recently recognized at the annual Honors Day ceremony. Following is a list of area students who were recognized: Hauwa Balami, of Peachtree City, is listed among the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges; James Shepard, of Peachtree City, received an Excellent Scholarship - Graduating Senior and the Ulysses S. Knotts Jr. Information Systems Award; John Shepard, of Peachtree City, received the Wall Street Journal Award in Finance and Economics. Individual awards were presented to 204 students at the annual Honors Day ceremonies. Inductees into various honor societies were also recognized.
