The Catholic Church of St. Gabriel in Fayetteville, in an effort to promote the fine arts in Fayette County, has planned a series of summer concerts beginning this month and continuing through July. The concerts are free but donations will be accepted at the door. Artists from Georgia as well as some from outside the state will be featured.

This Sunday afternoon, May 6, at 2:30 p.m., the Atlanta Flute Ensemble will be featured, with Kathy Farmer directing. Next Wednesday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m., the concert will feature mezzo soprano Andrea Caldwell, as well as pianist Seth Davis.

On Wednesday June 13, the Army Ground Forces Band Chamber Winds will perform at 7:30 p.m.On Wednesday June 27, the Papageno Flute Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m.

The Concord Chamber Players Trio will perform Wednesday July 11 at 7:30 p.m., and Brent Davis, Baritone and Friends from Atlanta Opera will perform Wednesday July 25 at 7:30 p.m.

St. Gabriel’s is at 152 Antioch Rd., off Ga. Hwy. 92, south of Fayetteville.
