Mr. and Mrs. Christopher M. Charles of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elaine Charles, to Joshua Carson Tucker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Tucker and Ms. Shirley Tucker of Comer, Ga.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Charles of Clayton and Mr. Billy W. Tucker of Eatonton and Ms. Elaine B. Tucker of Peachtree City. She is a 2002 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed by Jefferson Elementary School in Jefferson, where she is a second grade teacher.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Tucker of Comer and Mrs. Carolyn Dove, also of Comer. He is a 1999 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School. Thereafter he served in the US Navy until 2003 having completed tours in Kuwait and Iraq. He is now employed as construction supervisor for Mann Construction Company in Washington, Ga.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 2, 2007, at The Classic Center in Athens, Ga. Following a honeymoon in Alaska, the couple will reside in Carlton, Ga.
