Why Cal Beverly’s Editorial Endorsement of Steve Brown is Logical

Cal Beverly’s Editorial endorsement in the Friday 12/2 Citizen of Steve Brown is logical. Our quality of life is very high. We don’t need to make any big changes; we just need to avoid any big mistakes. Logsdon has absolutely no positions on anything. He is like Bill Clinton’s train ride. With all the stops totaled up, he promised new spending of $280 billion and yet reduced taxes, too. Logsdon is the same. At least Lenox was straight by insisting that spending would keep increasing. Lenox raised taxes every year but did not pretend otherwise.

Logsdon, however, has no platform. He won’t answer emails; he won’t participate in this forum; he won’t debate. He won’t disclose a platform because his sole objective is to promote the developers. Cal Beverly was right--- Logsdon is an “empty suit”.

Classic example: even after the general election Logsdon was quoted in a newspaper interview saying (on the illegal DAPC loans) that he favors a government bailout and that he wants to "get with the city attorneys and get their take on that." WOW ! We have a had written opinions from city attorneys and bond lawyers for years and an independent counsel investigative report that spells out the whole illegal scheme and why the city is legally prohibited from paying these loans. Harold is ignorant, arrogant or both.

Cal Beverly's endorsement is correct. Logsdon has no stated positions. And the reason he has no stated positions is because he has only one hidden agenda; to accomodate his developer buddies.
