Welton Brooks, 77, Newnan, died April 12, 2007. He was born April 11, 1930 in Harris County, son of the late Ben and Johnnie Mae Brooks. Memorial services were at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sharpsburg. Survivors include his wife Jeannette Gilbert Brooks, Newnan; children, Elton Brooks, Roswell, Tracey Brook Rivers, Jefferson, Ga., and Patricia Brooks Williams, Alpharetta; sons-in-law, Brian Rivers, and John Williams; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Brooks; grandchildren, Jeannette Hyde-Brooks,Jordan Brooks, Jamison Rivers, Braelyn Rivers, and Chelsea Brooks; and siblings, Cornelia Culpepper, Charlie Mae Leslie, and Jasper Brooks.
