A Roswell man connected to a 2005 shooting in Peachtree City has been arrested by Roswell authorities, police said.

Sadino Rivera, 29, of Frazier Street, Roswell was arrested Saturday when Roswell police responded to a domestic violence incident in which Rivera is accused of breaking into a woman’s home after she refused to let him in, police said.

Peachtree City police had filed warrants against Rivera for aggravated assault in connection with the shooting, and those warrants popped up with several others from different jurisdictions when Roswell police arrested him, police said.

Police said Rivera is connected to a 2005 shooting in the Wynnmeade subdivision at a home on Kings Court. Police were initially summoned to the scene on an injured person call but instead found that multiple gunshots had been fired in the home, police said. Officers also found on the premises a large quantity of marijuana packaged in bricks for distribution along with some crystal “ice” methamphetamine and about $100,000 in cash that was believed to be counterfeit, police said.

Nearby residents reported that they saw people running out of the home and fleeing in several different vehicles, police said.

At the time police arrested five other persons for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
