Gospel sings set for this weekendTue, 04/24/2007 - 3:04pm

April’s free gospel singings at the old train depot in Grantville (Coweta County) will be this weekend, Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, at 7 p.m. Friday’s event will feature Glory Road Quartet from Hogansville, Steve Presly from LaGrange, the Carter Family from LaGrange, the Whites from Grantville, and performances from several young adults. Saturday’s singing will feature Hopes Journey, Shotgun and Gentry from Heflin, Ala., Jimmy Norred of Hogansville and Young Spirit from Manchester. A yard sale will be held Friday in Colley Park next to the depot and the proceeds will benefit a family with needs. Yard sale items and baked goods are needed for the sale.
