Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Fayetteville announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Lindsay Marie Davis, to Chad Lee Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Murphy of Toccoa.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ann Shelton and the late Louis Shelton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. James Davis of Ellijay. She is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She currently is a designer at VeenendaalCave, a commercial design firm in Midtown Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Moore of Toccoa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Ward, also of Toccoa. He is a 1996 graduate of Stephens County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. He currently is a designer at Hayes, James and Associates, a civil engineering and land planning firm in Norcross.

The wedding will be May 19, 2007, in Atlanta. After a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
