Progressive Dinner tickets on saleThu, 04/12/2007 - 3:21pm
By: John Thompson
Houses are being cleaned and the yards are being spruced up as residents in Senoia get ready for their annual open house to the community. The Senoia Area Historical Society is hosting its annual Progressive Dinner May 18-19. Guests will be served a five-course dinner, with each course served in one of the town’s historic homes. But this year, residents will also get to tour the city’s claim to Hollywood fame, RiverWood Movie Studios. Historical society public relations spokesperson Rebecca Neil promises this year’s feast will be the best, and encourages everyone to buy their tickets quickly, because the event usually sells out in a hurry. This year, the appetizers will be served at RiverWood, while the soup course is hosted at the home of Mayor Robert Belisle, on Pylant Street. Salad is served at the Buggy Shop Museum on Main Street. The museum offers a wide collection of memorabilia featuring historical items from Senoia and Coweta County’s rich history. The entrée is at the Veranda Bed and Breakfast, while dessert is being served at the recently restored Blue House on Seavy Street. This is the 22nd year for the popular event, which gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy a great meal and get a glimpse of some of Senoia’s beautiful older homes. Tickets are $40 each, and seating is limited. For reservations, call 678-967-7884. login to post comments |
