Local realtor earns two real estate designations to better serve her clients

Marsha Cook, a Realtor with Prudential Georgia Realty, has recently been awarded the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation by the Georgia Association of Realtors as well as the Certified Skilled Negotiator (CSN) designation.
Cook was awarded the GRI designation after attending an intensive series of 90+ hours of classroom instruction, covering subjects such as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction.

Courses are taught by leading real estate instructors from around the country. Individuals completing the program learn the fundamentals of brokerage and other real estate specialization, allowing them to better serve prospective clients and customers.
The requirements for the CSN include a two-part course in which participants learn 13 ways to add more power to negotiating skills, the seven criteria sellers use to select a good negotiating listing agent, the five mistakes home buyers make in negotiating, how to present multiple offers, how to juggle counter offers, how to deal with unreasonable parties and numerous other negotiating techniques.

A Fayette County resident, Cook specializes in residential real estate and fine homes in the Fayette County and surrounding region. Professionally, she is a member of the Fayette County Board of Realtors as well as the Georgia and National Associations of Realtors.
