By: The Citizen
The Northgate Band Booster Motorcycle Benefit Motorcycle Bike ride has been relocated to J & R Clothing. Motorcycle admirers and riders will converge on J & R Clothing for Northgate Viking Band Booster’s “Bringing rhythm to an off beat world” benefit motorcycle ride. The second annual benefit ride will be held on Saturday, April 14. Whether you are an avid motorcyclist, curious by-stander, music enthusiast or just enjoy people watching, this is the event for you. There will be musical entertainment by the Assembly Required Band; concessions featuring Clements famous grilled hamburgers and hot dogs; door prizes; T-shirts and a motorcycle/car wash. Northgate Band Boosters is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support the students, staff, and director of bands at Northgate High School. Support from this fund-raising effort will go a long way in assisting an organization which attempts to do much more than provide a performance opportunity for students or entertainment for an audience. It is striving to build a program that teaches life skills, leadership skills, goal setting skills, conflict resolution skills and allows students to exercise their potential not only as musicians, but also responsible, productive adults, who set high standards for themselves in all areas of life. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at J & R Clothing located in the J&R Plaza on Highway 34 East. The lead bike will roll out at 11 a.m. A donation of $30 per bike and $15 for an additional rider will be taken at registration. Bringing rhythm to an off beat world T-shirts will be given to each rider.
