Subject: Stop the commercial development

As a resident of Peachtree City of one year and a neighbor in Wilshire Estates, I have to say it is very disturbing to think there is going to be a huge commercial development going in across the street from our homes.

How crazy is that? Peachtree City does NOT need any more retail shops or gas stations or box stores. There is enough of that. That is what makes Peachtree City the quaint area that it is. By adding all of the commercialism you are taking away what people have moved here for or what people have lived here for many years have bragged about.

As a resident of Wilshire Estates I have young children that play and utilize the streets of this safe neighborhood. What you are preparing to do is putting the safety of all of our children at risk. The traffic flow that will cut through Holly Grove Road will be tremendous when this is all said and done. We do not want it and will fight very hard to stop it.

The other idea that is absolutely crazy is using Holly Grove Road to be be used as a link to Senoia Road. Have your engineers looked at where our pool is located, how many children utilize that pool, how many children use Holly Grove to catch a bus?

Come on, guys, there has to be a better way for the city of Peachtree City to make more money. Have you not noticed how much money there is already in this city? Our residents can certainly continue to drive to Kedron, Fayetteville and the other end of Peachtree City to shop, dine and entertain.

Stop this insanity of wanting another commercial shopping area.
