Kedron Chick-fil-A to open Wednesday

Chick-fil-A will celebrate the opening of its restaurant in the Kedron Village shopping center Thursday with events culminating in a golf cart parade at 6 p.m.

The family with the best deccorated golf cart will win $1,000 in free Chick-fil-A food, and competitors will camp out overnight starting Wednesday for the chance to win a year's supply of combo meal coupons. The coupons will be awarded to the first 100 customers in line.

The prizes will be awarded between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Thursday and the restaurant will open immediately afterward.

Company president Dan Cathy said he expects fans to tailgate overnight for the competition in advance of the store opening.

The store will be operated by Mike Holmes, who will continue to operate the restaurant location on Ga. Highway 54 also, the company said.
