Never let it be said that the youthful residents of Fayette County are not a talented bunch! The proof can be found in the tremendous quality and record number of outstanding entries submitted for judging in the 22nd annual Art and Talent Showcase sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City. Fayette County 1st-12th graders submitted over 170 pieces of art and auditioned over 50 separate acts for this annual competition. The judges had a most difficult time selecting the finalists. Over $4,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in each age group. However, as stated by Kiwanis Youth Services Chairman, Cliff Schmidt, "Every participating student is a winner. The talent and artistic ability displayed was unbelievable."

The final talent competition will be held at Starr's Mill High School at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 26. Twenty-one separate acts will compete for cash prizes. Contestants include vocalists, pianists, violinists, dancers, a classical guitarist, and more. The public is invited to support the youth Fayette County. Admission to the talent show is free. In addition to friends and family, this is a perfect event for church, club or civic groups to be entertained for an evening of fun. Come early to see the creative winning entries of the art competition.
