DeMolay Week proclaimed in PTC

At the monthly meeting of the Peachtree City Council on March 1, Mayor Harold Logsdon proclamed the week of March 18-24, 2007 DeMolay Week in Peachtree City. March 18 is the anniversary of the official founding of DeMolay in 1919 and DeMolay International is celebrating its 88th anniversary in 2007. Members of the Peachtree City Chapter, Order of DeMolay are pictured with Mayor Logsdon.

DeMolay is for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. Under the advice of adults, leadership skills, civic awareness, responsibility and character development are learned through a variety of self-directed, real world applications and activities such as this project. Through these and other activities the young men of DeMolay prepare to be “Tomorrow's Leaders Today.”

Questions about the chapter, or DeMolay, in general, may be directed to Skip Mason, chapter advisor, 770-487-6482.
