Before you vote, ask Logsdon about thisTue, 11/29/2005 - 6:19pm

Ask Harold Logsdon if he is an impostor. Ask him if he is a Fred Brown puppet. Ask Logsdon what his plan is to restore the decades of deferred maintenance on our golf cart paths and all you get is a blank stare. Ask him how he plans on rolling back the millage rate and adding millions in additional maintenance expenses at the same time and he will shrug his shoulders. Ask Logsdon if the development authority is an independent self-governing body under state law and he will say yes. Ask him why we should pay the independent authority’s dishonest debts and he cannot give you a decent answer. Ask him if some of the authority members were also on the board of the bank issuing the loans and he will shake his head in the affirmative. Ask Logsdon what he plans to cut in the city budget to roll taxes back and he will not tell you. Ask him where the funding will come from for his projected expansion of fire and EMS coverage on the Southside and he will look straight down at the floor. Ask Logsdon if he is backed by Direct PAC and he will say yes. Ask him if the PAC favors annexing 960-acres on the Westside with no regard to housing density or our schools and he will say that is not his plan. Ask him what is his plan and he will change the subject. Ask Logsdon if his anticipated budget cuts are coming out of our children’s recreation programs and he will say maybe. Ask him about the impact on our children and he will say it should not affect their programs. Ask Logsdon why he would not debate his runoff opponent and he will say that he had a schedule conflict. Ask him about a scheduling debate on another day and he will say that he is not going to debate at all. Ask yourself if you really want to be voting for Harold Logsdon? The more you ask the less you know. Be an informed voter. Karen Taylor |
