Alveda King to speak in Fayetteville tonight
Dr. Alveda King, niece of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be the guest speaker at the Eleventh Hour Call Church Wednesday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. The church is at 385 S. Glynn St. (Ga. Lenten lunches continue at FFUMC
The Lenten Lunches hosted by the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church continue each Thursday at noon through the Lenten season. A light lunch prepared by ladies from the United Methodist Women is served, followed by a guest speaker. Lunches usually last no more than an hour. The speaker for March 22 is Forrest Cate, with lunch provided by the Mary Martha and Bethany circles. The church is on Lanier Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 54) in downtown Fayetteville.
South Metro plans Easter pageant March 23, 24, 25
“The Christ, The Cross, The Crown,” an Easter pageant featuring live animals, music, special effects and drama will play at South Metro Ministries, formerly Peachtree City Church of God, 3935 Ga. Hwy. 34 East, Sharpsburg, Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 25 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. A nursery will be provided for children through age 5. Mt. Olive to recognize senior members
The General Mission department of Mt. Olive Baptist Church will have a special service Sunday, March 25, dedicated to recognition of their senior members who have paved the way. Mountain Mission Choir to perform at FCC
Fayetteville Christian Church will host the Mountain Mission School Choir, a 50-person youth choir from Grundy, Va., in a 45-minute concert Sunday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. (during the Sunday school hour). The group also will perform two songs during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. A love offering will be received for the choir. The Catholic Church of St. Gabriel is serving a Seder meal for parishioners and the community on Monday, April 2, at 6 p.m. Fr. Tim Gadziala will lead the meal. Liberty to hold mass baptism Easter Sunday
