J. C. Booth Middle School proudly presents the play, “Aladdin Jr.,” March 22 and 23 at McIntosh High School. The new MHS Fine Arts Auditorium will be transformed into Agraba, the city of enchantment where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tale.

Based on one of Disney’s most popular animated films, the cast of 50 Booth students will make the classic characters of Aladdin, Jasmine, the Genie and many more come to life. The students will perform such Academy Award winning songs as “A Whole New World,” and “Friend Like Me.”

The play is directed by Rachel Green, J.C. Booth choral director and JoBeth Braddy a professional theater director. Green works with the actors on their vocal performance while Braddy directs the acting. The two accomplished assistant directors are Annie Hale from Georgia State University and Ellen Sturgill from McIntosh, who have also worked with the students since December.

Aladdin Jr. is a musical perfect for the entire family in exploring the themes of honesty, devotion, courage and love says Green. Braddy adds that Aladdin is filled with magic and mayhem to delight the entire audience.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see talented area youth perform in a professionally produced live theater setting – Disney style.
Performances are March 22 and March 23 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $5 at J.C. Booth Middle School and $6 at the door. For more information, call the school at 770-631-3240.
