The Fayette County High School step team, coached by Rick Blake, will compete on Saturday, March 17 against teams from across metro Atlanta in the second annual STOMP D.A.T. (Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco) Youth Step Show. The winning team will receive cash, prizes and bragging rights.
The Henry County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host the second annual Youth Step Show on Saturday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m. at Mount Zion High School located at 2535 Mount Zion Parkway, Jonesboro, Ga. The last Stomp D.A.T. Youth Step Show was a huge family-oriented success and this year promises to be equally as exciting. There was standing room only as youth step teams from all over Georgia competed for prizes and bragging rights. The STOMP D.A.T. Youth Step Show allows positive competitive fun with a message of avoidance in the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco products. Guest celebrities include radio station V-103's Osei, the Dark Secret, and special performances by FlavaWorld Entertainment.
The 2007 teams in the high school division are Cedar Grove High School, Dunwoody High School, Dutchtown High School, Fayette County High School, McEachern High School, Riverdale High School, Sprayberry High School, and Stockbridge High School.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 by 22 students at Howard University.
