George Kouzes

George Kouzes, 84, Peachtree City, formerly of Batavia, Ill, died Nov. 15, 2005. He had lived in Peachtree City upon retirement. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Charles Scott Kouzes, his parents, brothers, Thomas, Nicklas, and Peter, and a sister, Helen Pavlalkas. He graduated from Batavia High school, and worked in Chicago at the Chicago Theater, and his collection of movie stars are many. He served in World War II in the United States Army Air Force. He was a gunner with the 8th Air Force, 392nd Bomb Group out of Wendling, England. He received the Air Medal and 3 Oak Leaf Clusters. He worked at Hastings Manufacturing, Hastings, Mich., and later he and two partners owned Engineware Warehouse in Chicago Warehouse in Chicago. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rosemary Kouzes, Peachtree City; children, Sharon Lindvall, Sugar Grove, Ill, Stephen and Kyle Kouzes, Colleyville, Texas, and Susan and Carl Carpenter and Sandra Kouzes, all of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Scott Lindvall, Tiffany Kouzes, Christopher Kouzes, Carissa Carpenter, Catherine Carpenter, and Nicklas Kouzes; a great-granddaughter, Molley Kouzes; brothers, Gust Kouzes, and James Kouzes; and sisters, Christine Parrish, Mary Clowers, and Catherine Langford. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
