Dillon King, an eighth grade student at Rising Starr Middle School, was recently named the 2007 American History Essay Contest Winner for eighth grade by the Augustin Clayton Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. King's winning essay, commemorating the 400th year of the founding of Jamestown, was selected from students in Fayette, Henry and Clayton counties.
