Johnny Campbell White, 75,Sky Valley, died March 5, 2007. He served in the United States Army in Korea and Vietnam. He was interested in gardening, guns, politics, airplanes and took pleasure in studying them all. He reared his family in Clayton County, where he had a printing company. He retired to the mountain in 1999, where he was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, Highlands, N.C. He enjoyed singing in the choir. Services were at the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel, Fayetteville, with a Mass led by the Rev. Father Tien. Interment was private. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Norma White, Sky Valley; children, Kim and Ted Greene, Fayetteville, Teresa and Chase White-Evans, Mark and Kylene White, Diane and Reggie Green, and Jill and John Durham; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank and Mary Lee White; and a sister, Constance and Fred Haines. Memorial donations may be given to the OLM Catholic Church, P. O. Box 2729, Highlands, NC 28741. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
