On Wednesday, April 11, The Gaddy School in Peachtree City will offer the mandatory 7-hour USPAP course for real estate appraisers. Appraisers are required to take a 15-hour course on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) when they originally obtain their appraisal classification and a 7-hour “update” course every two years. According to the Georgia Real Estate Appraiser Board, approximately 4,000 real estate appraisers will have to complete the 7-hour USPAP course in 2007.

Taught by Wade Gaddy, the Georgia Association of REALTORS Instructor Of The Year, a Certified USPAP Instructor, and a Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser, the 7-hour course focuses on the changes to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). It also addresses sections of USPAP that have not been changed but have been identified as problem areas. This course is intended to fulfill the 7-hour requirement as established by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation in Washington, DC.

The 7-hour USPAP course will be offered on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at The Gaddy School in Peachtree City.
The school is located in the Publix Shopping Center on Hwy. 54. To register, call the school at 770-631-7223, come by the campus, or register on line at www.thegaddyschool.com.
