Laura Mehl, a real estate professional in Prudential Georgia Realty’s Fayetteville office, was named the winner of the company’s Rising Star Award. The announcement was made at Prudential Georgia Realty’s annual awards ceremony held February 27 at the Cobb Galleria. This award is annually given to a sales associate licensed no longer than 18 months who has shown outstanding sales performance.

Managing Broker, Merry Holley, credits Laura’s success to her positive attitude, helpful nature and excellent communication skills. “She started her real estate career with only a cell phone and a tenacious attitude. Laura has an incredible gift of being able to communicate with the smallest dollar buyers as well as the multi-million dollar Buckhead investor. She has a tremendous future ahead of her and we’re so proud to have her be a part of our Prudential Georgia Realty office.”

Since becoming licensed in November 2005, Laura Mehl’s gross sales volume through the end of 2006 was more than $10 million, with 24 sales and18 listings taken. These totals were good enough to place her in the President’s Circle award level for sales performance, one of several award designations created by Prudential Real Estate Affiliates (PREA) as a national standard for its agents. The President’s Circle award is held by only the top 8 percent of the 77,000+ Prudential agents in the U.S. In addition, she was named to the company’s Top 25 Individual Agents, a highly coveted honor in the 1,400 agent real estate firm.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Laura is a graduate of the University of South Florida. She concentrates on residential real estate in Fayette County and the surrounding region.
Professionally, Laura is a member of the Fayette County Board of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

When not assisting clients with their real estate needs, she enjoys teaching Sunday school at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and volunteering in the sports programs at both Starrs Mill High School and Rising Starr Middle School.
