Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will celebrate the season of Advent with services on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 and 14. A free soup and bread supper will be served from 5:15 until 7 p.m. A service especially designed for families with small children is at 6 p.m followed by a service for everyone at 7 p.m.

Prince of Peace’s pastor, Justin Kollmeyer, will deliver a series of sermons entitled, “Experience Narnia,” which is based on the novel, “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis and on the upcoming Disney movie.

Wednesday, Nov. 30 is “Bring a Lion Night” (bring a stuffed animal, picture, drawing, anything that “is” a lion); Wednesday, Dec. 7 is “Bring a Trophy Night” (bring a trophy, medal, award ribbon, anything that declares a “winner”); and Wednesday, December 14 is “Bring a Crown Night” (bring a tiara, crown, paper crown, Burger King crown, anything that is a “crown.”

“I believe families and children alike will enjoy learning about ‘Narnia’ and its Christian-themed messages,” Kollmeyer said.

Prince of Peace is on Ga. Hwy. 314 in Fayetteville between Lowe’s and The Fayette Pavilion. For more information, visit the church Web site, www.popdove.com.
