Gloer honored as outstanding teacherTue, 03/06/2007 - 4:19pm

Jon Gloer of Starr's Mill High School was chosen by Dr. Cathy Geis, coordinator of social studies, as winner of the DAR Outstanding History Teacher award for Fayette County. Chapter historian Judy Hughes presented the award. The chapter held a Georgia Day dinner in the home of Marilyn Frazar. Co-hostesses were Cindi Plunkett and Liz Fuentes. Registrar Carol Abadie welcomed new members Karen Hinkle and Jackie Hackney of Peachtree City. Wendy Fox, of Newnan, received the 2006 Chapter Outstanding Junior award.
