PTC Presbyterian to present ‘Celebrate the Light’Tue, 11/29/2005 - 4:30pm

First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City will have a one-of-a-kind holiday musical celebration Sunday, Dec. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The event will feature familiar Christmas tunes, seasonal favorites, and new pieces performed by a variety of musical talents. Bill Killmeier, who recently sang the role of Fred/Petruchio in Cole Porter’s “ Kiss Me Kate” in Innsbruck, Austria, will conduct the Adult Choir and Handbell Choir, and will present a solo performance. Fayetteville resident Cynthia Van Wert, renowned in opera, oratorio, and theater, will be guest soprano. Guest baritone will be Brent Davis, a studio artist for the Atlanta Opera recently seen as Prince Yamadori in “Madame Butterfly.” A special arrangement of “O Holy Night” will be presented and a classical string quartet will accompany the musical offerings.
