Mary Ruth Sams, 80, College Park, died Feb. 22, 2007. She was born Jan. 22, 1927 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Sams, a son, Terry R. Sams, and a brother, C. E. Thomas. She was a 70-year member of Second Baptist Church of College Park, now McDonough Road Baptist Church. Services were at the McDonough Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Chancey officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Danny L. and Susan W. Sams, Fayetteville, and Timothy M. Sams, College Park; daughters, Marcia S. and Joel D. Price, Lilburn, and Sherry S. & B. Norman Bingham, Marietta; grandchildren, Joshua D. Price, Barry A. Bingham, L. Noel Bingham, Andrew Sams, and Annah Hand; and three great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
