Christian City annual gala

Over 700 guests gathered for Christian City’s annual gala on February 10 to celebrate the progress of the construction of a new Children's Village for the abandoned and abused children who reside on Christian City's campus located off Lester Road in Union City.

The black tie gala was held at the Georgia International Convention Center to recognize 14 local builders and other community leaders for their contributions in helping to make the dream of new cottages and facilities for children who need a safe place to live a reality.

Christian City is a nondenominational, nonprofit organization which ministers to less fortunate children, the elderly and the infirm including reirement living, skilled nursing home facilities, convalescent care, and care for those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

Over 1,000 children have called Christian City home since they opened the first cottage on Valentine's Day in 1965. For more information about Christian City, to volunteer, to sponsor a child or to make a donation, please contact Christian City at 770-703-2636 or visit www.christiancity.org.
