David and Sue Harris of Jonesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Anne Harris, to Lee Wilson Trawick, son of Carol Butler Jackson of Fayetteville.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Lurline Harris and the late Wilber Harris of Jonesboro and the late Preston and Rubylene Sears of Rex. She is a 1998 graduate of Jonesboro High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.B.A degree in management information systems. She recently completed her master’s degree in criminal justice at Boston University. She is employed as a detective with the Clayton County Police Department.

The future groom is the grandson of Pauline Butler and the late Marvin Butler of Fayetteville. He is a 1996 graduate of Creekside High School. He presently is a police officer with Clayton County Police Department.

A March wedding is planned.
