Amy Galloway Crabtree, 91, Fairburn, formerly of Brooks and Atlanta, died Feb. 9, 2007.She was born Sept. 26, 1915 in Lindale, Floyd County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Crabtree. She had moved to Atlanta in the 1940's, and lived with her husband in the Mill Village Community of the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill, where he worked until its closing. They made Iswald Street their home in the mid 1950s. Though she trained as a nurse's assistant in the early 1960s, her health prevented a career in that field. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. Survivors include a son, David Crabtree, Atlanta; a daughter, Sherry and Jim Osburn, Brooks; daughter-in-law, Margaret Crabtree, Senoia; a sister, Duffie Carr, Union City; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
