David Glenn Jones, 44, Sharpsburg, died Feb. 5, 2007. He was born March 31, 1962. He was a 19 year veteran machinist at Delta Airlines and completed his career with the McClain International Division of Heico Aerospace. He enjoyed participating in his children's activities with the Peachtree City Hockey Association and the Peachtree City Girls Softball Association. His hobbies included fishing, canoeing, camping and any outdoor activity. A memorial service is today at the Community Christian Church, Sharpsburg, at 2 p.m. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Denise Jones, Sharpsburg; a son Justin; a daughter, Carlyn; the family's faithful companion, Woody; mother, Marilyn and Larry Smith, College station, Texas; father, Glennis and Lynne Jones, Peachtree City; brothers, George and Sheryl Jones, Fayetteville, Kelly Blymyer, Macon, Ga., and Paul Blymyer, Sugar Land, Texas; and stepmother, Carolyn Jones, Marietta. Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice House of Riverdale, or a direct donation for Justin and Carlyn's college fund. The Cremation Society of the South was in charge.
